FESDES involved in doing performance based approach for HICOM. HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HA) is a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad. HA was incorporated in 1983, and its assembly plant occupies 143.7 acres of land in Pekan, Pahang Darul Makmur.
Throughout its 40-year history, HICOM Automotive has manufactured more than 20 well-known brands, including passenger cars such as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi Motors, and commercial vehicles such as Mitsubishi Fuso and Actros trucks under Hap Seng truck distribution. HA has assembled half a million vehicles of various international marques, with a vision to become the preferred assembler in the automotive industry. In pursuit of this vision, HA adheres to strict global standards in operation and quality, holding accreditations for the IATF16949:2016 Quality Management System, the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management, the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Certifications, and the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) 2021.
